"The quest for salvation heats up and comes to a head as Michael becomes the hero he is destined to be."
Brandon Rhea[src]

Star Wars: Episode III - Destiny of the Jedi is an upcoming Alternative Star Wars Saga novel by Brandon Rhea. It is a sequel to Star Wars: Episode I - The Chosen One, currently being written by Rhea, and the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode II - The Princess of Ondos.

Plot overview[]

Star Wars: Episode III - Destiny of the Jedi will be the conclusion of the trilogy that begins with Star Wars: Episode I - The Chosen One, and it will continue and conclude many of the themes and storylines from The Chosen One and its sequel, Star Wars: Episode II - The Princess of Ondos. The story is centered around Michael Lars finally embracing his destiny as the Chosen One, and it focuses on the end of the Invasion of Ondos and the beginning of the Clone Wars.[1]

Whereas The Chosen One partially mirrors Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and The Princess of Ondos is meant to mirror Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Destiny of the Jedi is set to mirror Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Michael will embrace his destiny much like Luke Skywalker did in Return of the Jedi, and, also like Luke, Michael must face the ghosts of his past in order to move into a better future.[1]

One of the concluding themes of the novel will be that while a galactic war has started, there will be a sense of hope that Michael may bring about the salvation of the galaxy. Nonetheless, the final battle against the dark side of the Force will have only just begun.[1]
