Darth Erilis was the Dark Lady of the Sith circa 241 BBY. She was the master of Darth Plagueis.

Biography[]

Darth Erilis was a female Sith Lord in the Order of the Sith Lords who became Dark Lord of the Sith. Upon her own master's death, she became the master under the Rule of Two. Sometime during her reign, she was approached by Damien Nightblade, the Grand Master of the Jedi Order thousands of years earlier who had learned the secret to immortality, and she introduced Nightblade to the ways of the Sith.

In the years that followed, the Grand Master turned Sith Lord, dubbed Darth Plagueis, overthrew Darth Erilis and became the Dark Lord of the Sith, thereby assuming control over the Sith.[1]

Legacy[]

Plagueis' ascension to the throne had galaxy-shaking impacts, as he trained the Dark Lord who would usher in the Apocalypse. The Dark Lord later killed Plagueis, which brought about the events that threatened to destroy the galaxy. Erilis, therefore, was remembered as the one who trained the Sith who was the shatterpoint for the Apocalypse.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Darth Erilis was created by author Brandon Rhea for the backstory of his short story, Star Wars: The Tragedy, released on March 20, 2010.[1]
