The Battle of Yavin was a battle around a planet-destroying battle station orbiting Yavin during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. The battle, noted as a major historical event in the Journal of the Whills, was marked by a starfighter racing down a trench on the station while being chased by three other fighters. When the starfighter was about to be destroyed, a cargo transport attacked the three fighters, allowing the starfighter to destroy the battle station. The battle was later described as being a turning point in the Galactic Civil War. Years later, Whill historian Duseuso and Shaman of the Whills Ussej Padric Bac watched this event through the time stream on Ashlan Four.[1]
