Bacatine was the last Emperor of the Kingdom of Kamino. He preached a more limited government and the surrendering of all territories and planets owned by Kamino in the Wild Space region of the galaxy. Bacatine also advocated science over religion, the latter of which had been the dominant point of view throughout the centuries-long history of the Kingdom of Kamino. One thousand years after Bacatine's death, science had taken its place as the main philosophy of Kamino, which had become a center for cloning in the galaxy.[1]
