"This timeline would give us the chance to play the pioneers of the Star Wars Universe. Everything we know about Star Wars could be defined here."
Laurent Bastien, co-concept creator of Alsakan Crisis[src]

Alsakan Crisis was the third role-playing timeline on TheStarWarsRP.Com. It was role-played from February 24, 2008 until July 15, 2009. After having played two timelines in the century following Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the setting of the website went back in time to the year 13,000 BBY.

The primary storyline of the timeline centered around the Alsakan Crisis, a conflit between the Galactic Republic and the Alsakan Union. The Jedi Order went through a schism during the events, leading to the creation of an off-shot order called the Ospion Guardians. The planet Onderon also broke away from the Republic and became a faction. Multiple independent factions, such as the Shade Order, played a role as well.

At the end of the second timeline, which had been in decline, the website's administrators proposed the Alsakan timeline concept to the members of the website. When it was approved, a think tank of administrators and other members was put together to develop the timeline prior to its launch. When the timeline ended, it was replaced by the Great Hutt Wars timeline, set roughly twenty years later.
